With everyday items found around the house, you can make your own play dough that is much softer than the ones made with flour and water.
Gather the materials.
Involve the child in the process of making the play dough. Mix 1 cup of flour and 1⁄2 cup of hair conditioner together using the ice cream stick.
Stir the mixture until you get a soft but non-sticky dough.The consistency may vary depending on the type of flour and hair conditioner.
Add in the food colouring. Knead until the colour is spread out.
Encourage your child to express themselves freely with the play dough.
