WHAT CHILDREN WILL LEARN
- Physical - Controlling, balancing
- Intellectual - Observing, comparing, discriminating directions
- Emotional - Engagement
- Social - Sharing, taking turns
Children will create a floor plan and play it like a maze.
Gather the materials.
Create a base for the cover. Trace the cover on a coloured paper and cut it out.
Introduce to children the idea of mapping a floor plan that represents your house. Together with the children, map out the layout of the house by drawing lines to represent walls, leaving gaps (of two-finger spacing) for the doors on the cut-out paper
With the drawn map, cut the straws to different length according to the drawing. Engage the help of the children, glue the straws over the lines.
A maze is complete! Now, you may secure it onto the cover.
You may make your own ball by tearing a piece of paper or get a marble. And you are ready to have a rolling good time!
