Flatbread is a type of bread that is cooked flat, typically on a flat pan or other flat surface. It is eaten around the world like Torta (Spain), Focaccia (Italy), Roti Prata (Singapore), Roti Canai (Malaysia). It is one of the simplest forms of bread and nearly every culture around the world has its own version.
Gather the materials.
Add in the whole wheat flour and salt into the mixing bowl.
Slowly add in water and mix until dough forms a ball. Knead the dough for about 5 to 10 minutes until it is smooth and sticky.
Cover the bowl and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into 15 to 20 pieces. And using a rolling pin, roll each one into a circle. This should be done under strict adult supervision.
Lightly oil the frying pan and heat it. Cook the dough until it is brown and puffy on both sides. Serve warm with a bit of margarine.
