A simple fruit cake recipe for busy mums and dads! (No eggs or butter required!)
Step 1
Gather the materials.
Step 2
Follow directions on the cake mix box. Instead of adding eggs and butter/oil, add in a can of soda. Assist your child, but let him/her do the pouring.
Step 3
Whisk the mixture well. You can choose to mix in half of the fresh fruits. Fold gently to prevent mashing the blueberries.
Step 4
Transfer mixture into the cake tin (there is no need to oil the surface if you are using a disposable aluminum tin). And it is ready for baking. Follow the heating and timing directions on the box.
Step 5
When the cake is done, let it cool down. Then lay a layer of icing sugar on it.
Step 6
Use the remaining fruits to decorate the cake.
Step 7
Enjoy the fruity cake with your loved ones.
